Man Stabbed to Death in Delhi Over Mobile Phone Snatching

In a tragic incident, a tailor named Amit Kumar was stabbed to death in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar area after he resisted an attempt to snatch his mobile phone. The incident occurred on June 10, and one juvenile suspect has been apprehended in connection with the case. Amit, a resident of Rampura Keshavpuram, was cycling home from work when three individuals, including two juveniles, intercepted him. They threatened him at knifepoint and demanded his phone. During the struggle, Amit sustained two deep stab wounds on the right side of his chest. He was rushed to the hospital by a constable on patrol duty but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The police have registered a case under Section 103(1) of the BNS for murder and are investigating the matter. The apprehended juvenile confessed that the motive was robbery. Amit was the sole breadwinner of his family, leaving behind his wife, two minor children, and elderly mother. The police are in talks with the factory association to provide assistance to the grieving family.
