Manchester United Signs French Striker Enzo Kana-Biyik on 5-Year Deal

Manchester United strengthens their focus on young talent with the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik, a promising French striker, as part of their long-term strategy.
Manchester United is set to complete the signing of French striker Enzo Kana-Biyik, marking another step in their strategic shift towards nurturing young talent. In recent years, the club has moved away from high-cost signings, instead focusing on developing young players who can form the backbone of a sustainable project. This approach, influenced by INEOS's increased involvement in decision-making, aims to build a solid foundation with under-21 prospects. The success of Paul Pogba, who joined from Le Havre and flourished at Manchester United, serves as a model for this strategy. The goal is to identify and secure top talent before they gain prominence in leagues like Ligue 1. Alongside this youth-focused approach, the club is also monitoring more experienced targets to strengthen key areas. According to Manchester Evening News, United has agreed to a five-year deal with Kana-Biyik, with only formalities remaining. The agreement, reportedly signed in April, will bring the French youth international to Old Trafford. Kana-Biyik has impressed with nine goals for Le Havre's U19s and made his debut for France's U18 team in March. While he has yet to play for Le Havre's first team, he has trained with them and received two senior call-ups. This signing underscores Manchester United's commitment to the future, but it is crucial that Kana-Biyik's development is supported by a clear plan. The club must ensure he progresses effectively, whether through loans to competitive leagues for first-team experience or by integrating him into the under-21 setup with regular exposure to senior training.
