Manchester United is set to complete the signing of French striker Enzo Kana-Biyik, marking another step in their strategic shift towards nurturing young talent. In recent years, the club has moved away from high-cost signings, instead focusing on developing young players who can form the backbone of a sustainable project. This approach, influenced by INEOS's increased involvement in decision-making, aims to build a solid foundation with under-21 prospects. The success of Paul Pogba, who joined from Le Havre and flourished at Manchester United, serves as a model for this strategy. Kana-Biyik has impressed with nine goals for Le Havre's U19s and made his debut for France's U18 team in March. While he has yet to play for Le Havre's first team, he has trained with them and received two senior call-ups.
