Introducing macOS 26: A Sleek, Modern Update

Apple's latest macOS 26 brings a fresh 'Liquid Glass' design and enhanced features for seamless iPhone integration.
Apple's macOS 26, unveiled at WWDC25, introduces a striking new design and improved functionality. The update jumps from macOS 15 Sequoia to macOS 26, named Tahoe, featuring a 'Liquid Glass' aesthetic. This design, inspired by the Apple Vision Pro, makes windows and borders semi-transparent, with a revamped Dock and menu bar. Users can now customize folders with colors and emojis, adding a personal touch to their desktop. macOS 26 enhances continuity with iPhone, allowing users to sync the Phone app, access Contacts, and handle calls directly from their Mac. Live Activity popups provide quick updates on Uber rides and Calendar events, enabling actions through iPhone mirroring. Spotlight search is now more powerful, supporting third-party cloud storage and allowing actions like sending emails or creating notes without mouse input. Widgets and apps, including Safari, feature the new glass-like transparency. While the interface may require adjustment, familiar functions remain accessible. macOS 26 also updates Messages, enabling background images, polls, AI translations, and combined emojis.
